I have put 3 children through the public school system and have learned that there are all varieties of teachers as with anything else. I am very greatefull for the good ones who truly care, they do changes lives. I have run across my share that have made me quite angry, but the lessons I teach at home are just as important, so I teach my kids that once you lose your head, you lose the arguement. I don't know anyone involved in this story, but I think all three have lost in this case. I hope the teacher can be professional and help this child, the parent can learn to handle conflict and be an example for her child, and I hope this child gets through it and finds the correct lesson in all of it.

Shame, shame, shame when our other peers have problems with their children they assault the teacher, but when i have a problem with mine i simply go above the principle head and take it to the board on the to have the teacher removed from a class room setting period then follows my son law suit against her for not properly beenin taught how to dealwith disruptive kids... but never i said never would i gave her the chance to call me what she already thought i was and that is a getto ass!!!lol you need to go back to school and learn manners boo!

rather than momma report this to the administration or school board, she's facing charges. and too many are voicing the opinion her violent actions are an acceptable answer. remember 'sticks and stones...?' misdemeanor assault does NOT sound like a good response. did the teacher call the kid stupid, or did she ask "are your stupid?" or tell the kid to 'quit acting stupid'? who here knows? Kids learn by the actions of their parents - for better or for worse. This one is probably 'for worse,' unfortunately.

mariebaby.................. what in the hell did you attempt to say in your comment? If you ARE a student of this teacher, then apparently she called the wrong one dumb. Sheesh. What are they teaching the kids in school?

if what tb2005 says is true, I don't blame the lady for choking the teacher but I think a nice pimp slap across the face would have been sufficient.

@ ranger1 teachers use to act like professionals back in my day but now they are just as childish as the children they teach. it was a time when teachers were where older mature adults 40 to 60 now the hire them fresh out of college 23 to 30 most of them haven't grown up and quick confront a child on a child's level instead of handling it like an adult. I'm sure the teach got to popping off at the mouth about the ladies child an psed her off because we all know that teacher are quick to throw up the fact that we are not here to raise your child which is not true when I leave my child in anyone's care I would expect them to not only discipline my child but to guide them and mold them into being better people.Maybe that's whats wrong with the education system today nobody actually teaches anymore they give you books and tell you what you need to know, but don't take the time out to teach to you and then you wonder why little johnny's not paying attention in class and acting up maybe its because you told him to turn to page 57 in his math book and work the math problems you never taught him to solve
