LITTLE ROCK, AR – The parents of Trayvon Martin will be in Little Rock to speak at a civil rights breakfast hosted by the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE).
The breakfast will be held on July 24th and is part of NOBLE’s annual conference in Little Rock.
NOBLE says they were one of the first organizations to reach out to the Martin family after their son was shot and killed by George Zimmerman last February in Sanford, FL.
Also speaking will be Mayor Lottie H. Shackelford, the first woman elected mayor of Little Rock, will be the keynote speaker of the event. Receiving awards will be Dr. Jocelyn Elders, former U.S. Surgeon General; Keith Jackson, NFL star, and Elizabeth Eckford, one of the original members of the Little Rock 9.
