And we have enough problems in Little Rock without racists coming in to make a big splash and stir racism up. It seems impossible to get over the racism and it doesn't help to have people ranting about it all the time. God Bless

I believe Z was attacked...he was not pursuing T....HE CALLED 911 TO HAVE HIM CHECKED OUT....DID NOT HAVE HIS GUN DRAWN OR T WOULD NOT HAVE ATTACKED HIM....APPEARANCES MATTER,,..I guess T was going to college and become an executive with a ton of tattoos and a GRILLE ,...HE DIDN'T DESERVE TO BE KILLED, BUT HE BROUGHT IT UPON HIMSELF. Z was doing his job "watching his neighborhood"....unfortunately for Trayvon, he had a gun ON HIM....NOT DRAWN. Oh yeah...T was 6'2 or 3" and 160-180#, much bigger than Z, obviously knew how to beat someone. I AM VERY SORRY THIS HAPPENED AND GOD BLESS ALL INVOLVED.

Guys, what you don't understand entirely; is that Zimmerman actually pursued this young guy. There's no way that was self-defense. You are not allowed to chase someone down and once you are losing the battle you kill them. That is absurd. With the "black" groups; if you really look at it, most of the groups/business here in America are all white.(Google it) They're not called an all-white group because that's not "PC" but they are all white with a splash of minorities but you guys don't see that and that splash is there because of the affirmative action law. Thank God for it!!! I am a black female and I believe in rights for minorities as well as rights for women, and so forth. This world is a male driven world; we dare not say that is false. If a man murdered a woman and nothing was done (eg. Hispanic/white killed black guy) the women's support group would be equally upset; I’m sure of it. I'm just saying, guys please think about things logically. BTW: I’m not racist, just not as ill-informed as you guys.

TQ365; You have a point; my personal feelings are Zimmerman should have done what 911 told him to do, wait for the law. As to why he called them in the first place; I believe the story was that there had been some break-ins in the area recently. As to shooting someone if you are losing a fight; it depends. Due to 3 heart attacks, and damage to my heart, and a host of other physical ailments, I'm not able to physically exert myself, as in a knock down drag out fight with someone; therefore, if I feel my life is in danger, I've been given the right to protect said life with my 40 cal. Now Zimmerman, he looks like he should have been able to handle a teenager; but by the looks of his head, he was in danger of not only losing the fight, but possibly his life; so I guess it's up to a jury and a judge to decide his fate. The whole story stinks; a young lad losing his life, a man trying to protect his neighborhood from the criminal element, and the media circus surrounding the whole thing. Tired; I'm not really a jerk; just like you, I'm an American with the right to disagree, in a civil manner of course ( unlike you ), and calling me a jerk is a personal attack, which can be reported and removed; what's with the hatred in you Tired? It will only eat you up from the inside. You do make a good point about all black groups in this day and age when they want total desegragation; we have a Congressional Black Caucus, this NOBLE thing, even our state has an all black legislative group; but if white's tried something like that; Lord have mercy. I really am a nice person, with a host of friends, black and white. One more thing guys and gals; I forgot about the NAACP; what would minorities say if we formed a white group with a white agenda?

The real shame to this entire story is due to the media blitz and the circus by the NAACP and Sharpton & Jackson, there will never be any true justice served. Zimmerman's fate is already sealed. He will be hammered in court not for what happened but because of the actions of the so-called activist groups and people like Sharpton & Jackson. They are the ones keeping racism alive and kicking. Come to Cabot with that non-sense.

The thing that bothers me the most about the whole thing is that Zimmerman had no right to try and stop Martin. Zimmerman wanted Martin to wait for the cops for what reason. Lastly, is it ok to shoot someone if you are losing a fight? Is it ok if someone tells me to stop and wait for police to show up simply because I look suspicious?
