I have no problem with churches registering their members to vote. This has been done throughout history and is really no problem. Afterall they aren't telling their members how to vote. @Blueprincess...Why do you think that Blacks only voted for Obama because of his race? Blacks voted for Clinton and Gore in roughly the same percentages. Was that because of race? Do you also think Whites voted for Bush becasuse of race? Do you think Blacks should vote for Romney instead?

Please keep in mind, being registered to VOTE and taking the action of VOTING is bigger than just the Presidential Election in November. We have local elections held right in our own backyard of Little Rock on May 22nd. Candidate information can be provided upon request but you are NOT being told who to VOTE for during any of the events held at Longley Baptist Church. The choice is your own. Reaching masses and educating people on the political process is what we are doing. If we can't start in the church with the information and making sure individuals are registered to vote then we have a bigger problem. It is my hope and prayer everyone takes advantage of their right and VOTE, no matter the candidate you are voting for. God Bless.

OMG !!! Obama is wanting re elected because he has not finished his travels around the world using both planes and all his family and friends at the tax payers expense so if you have a lot of money to give away then re elect him and send him your money for the next 4 years.

@me501- I'm sorry if you took offense to my comment but I think it's important that people are educated who are voting for Obama based on skin color. I'm not the disguisting one! I don't vote based off race! @omgHesaidthat- it counts if they want it to count. So 5k votes for Obama would most likely be counted.

Hum...Longley Baptist church....I wonder how many of these members are registering to vote for Obama? Just remember Obama claims he was raised by his white mother in wealthy white culture not black culture. Just want to remind those that view an Obama win as a victory for their race. He is NOT your home boy or from your hood. Don't be hearded like sheep! I hope you are all doing more than looking at skin color because our country won't make it with another 4 years of Obama. Also, I really hope that the leaders of these churches are not trying to persuade their congregations to vote in any certain way.
