Pedestrian killed by hit and run driver

LONOKE, AR – A 39 year old woman who was trying to flag down passing motorists is dead. Police are looking for the person who killed her and failed to stop.

Arkansas State Police report Kimberly Perkins of Lonoke, was hit just after 9:30pm Friday night. Investigators say she was standing on the south shoulder of Highway 70 at Cypress Creek, when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle.

The person who hit the victim did not stop. Perkins was pronounced dead at the scene about an hour later.

I'm a little curious as to why she was not transported quicker. "She was pronounced dead at the scene an hour later." Just curious. It was either a drunk or a methmonster on the run.

Hoping for a quick capture of this killer,most likely drunk. Healing prayers going up now for her family.
