LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police are on the scene of a fatal train accident in Little Rock.

According to reports, a man was walking on the railroad tracks near Chicot Road in Little Rock when he was struck by a train.

Police say it is unknown at this time why the victim was on the tracks, or why he did not or could not get out of the way in time.

We will have more information on this story tonight on FOX16 News at 9pm.

People need to stay off the train tracks! In these types of situations, I do tend to blame the pedistrians! THEY can jump off the tracks, a train, under normal circomstances, cannot!
