Pedestrian killed on I-30 service road

BENTON, AR - Police say a man walking on the I-30 South Service Road near the 114 mile marker was hit and killed Saturday night.

According to the Benton police department, 41-year-old Willie Donson was walking east on the service road around 9:30pm when 26-year-old Tim Chism, who was driving in the same direction, hit him.

Donson was wearing dark colored clothing, according to police.

No arrests were made at the time of the accident and the investigation is on-going.

MrsTND...Very sorry for your loss. I should have emphasizes that in my post instead of the direction of the Interstate. I did have a start when I saw the woman in the dark on the shoulder....It could have been me and her...THANK GOD IT WASN'T...again, I AM VERY SORRY FOR YOUR UNCLE'S FAMILY. In response to guzzler- The man killed on I-30 was my uncle, he was a United States Navy Veteran and not a drunk. I will pray for you and your ignorance. Please keep negative comments to yourself.

LUMBERMAN.....HAHAHAH I SEE WHAT I DID....I NEVER DO THAT HAHAHHA I KNOW I WAS GOING EAST ON THAT SERVICE ROAD. HAAHAH

Lumberman....I used to be listening to the traffic helicopter man about 7 a.m. and he called I-30 North and South.....that is how it seems to people even tho' it is an East/West Interstate. Terrible to hit the man, but I wondered when I saw the headline if it was the woman I passed who was dark all over and staggering around on the edge of the shoulder as I was going North from Baseline to University on the service road.
