People fear gun control, rush to buy guns and concealed carry lessons

Sunday, thousands went to the G & S gun show, and sales for gun vendors like Eric Hile have doubled.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Sunday, thousands went to the G & S gun show, and sales for gun vendors like Eric Hile have doubled.

He says the high attendance is sparked by fear of a future gun ban, which would be in response to the Sandy Hook school shooting.

Vice President Joe Biden is leading a task force, addressing the issue and making a recommendation by the end of the month.

"Education is the big thing. (Guns) are tools that when used properly are good tools. When used improperly, (they are) a poor tool," said gun vendor Eric Hile.

But gun show vendors aren't the only ones seeing a spike. Gun instructors are too.

Tom Dupriest says concealed carry classes at Shoothouse USA are enrolling more students.

"We normally average 6 classes a month and we are sitting at 10. We are going to expand that out to 14 classes this month," said Dupriest.

Dupriest says beyond the fear of gun control, people are enrolling to learn how to stay safe.
