PINE BLUFF, AR -- A 25-year-old year business does age, but Money Mart Pawn Shop owner Don Edwards didn't plan to do thousands of dollars in work.

But he had no choice since a crook drove a truck smack dab through the front of it.

"They had to go through a metal gate and door barred lock and reinforced and I don't know how the people are still living," said Edwards.

Guns -- all shapes and sizes -- out of the hooks and onto the street.

"When I got here I couldn't believe the hole and the truck was still here and they abandoned the truck," said Edwards.

"We know those weapons are ultimately intended to go to other criminals," said Capt. Greg Shapiro, spokesman for the Pine Bluff Police Department.

Nobody wants to know who smashed through the store more than Alice Ruth.

"I just wish they could catch them and prosecute them," said Ruth.

That truck belonged to her. It was stolen from her carport while the 80-year-old slept.

"That was my husband's truck and he passed in 2002 and that was our truck. That was something that kind of a momento for me," said Ruth.

Ruth's independence is now snatched away.

"I have to worry somebody to carry me to wherever I want to go and I've had something on my own since I was 17 years old driving," Ruth said.

@ beachbum2 Well I think your name pretty much speaks for itself!! Apparently you are CLUELESS! Get your facts right before trashing an honest business! Why don't you do your research before running your mouth. Pawnshops help catch thousands of thiefs & thugs every year returning the stolen property to the rightful owners. Guess who looses out? The pawnbroker who has to file charges on the thugs to get restitution (which usually never gets paid) So talk about something you KNOW! Which from the post you left shows exactly what you know NOTHING! Educate yourself on the matter before adding your worthless comments!

Beachbum2 your totally out of line here and your accusations are totally inaccurate. All firearms pawned at a pawnshops are checked by local police to verify they aren't stolen. You need delete your comment.

Bobcat-It is either exactly that or some guy just getting back what was rightfully his in the first place, pawn shops knowingly buy HOT guns, jewelry everyday and get by with it. They are the single largest recievers of stolen property in the US today.

Snatched away...and it was a crook...Haha you mean a thugger, its crime bluff for gods sake, get the name right! Crime Bluff is making it's way into Ar history as a gunslinger town, a killing ground. Time for a new sheriff to take control of these worthless individuals who think they are big time ganstas, one shot, make it count!!!
