LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man suspected in a carjacking Tuesday morning was arrested, but only after he fired several gunshots at officers who were looking for him, according to Little Rock Police.

Leo Darrough, Jr., 30, is suspected of a carjacking in the area of 17th and Woodrow. He is also suspected of attempting to car-jack two other victims in the same area on Tuesday. Police also say Darrough fired a gun after being kicked off a CATA Bus for causing a disturbance.

Around 4:45pm, officers were looking for Darrough near the St. John’s Apartments, on 5001 W. 65th Street, when they heard gunfire. Police say they saw Darrough in a wooded area nearby firing at them.

After Darrough ran out of bullets (police report he was “dry firing” his weapon) officers brought him down with a taser and arrested him.

Darrough will likely be charged with attempted capital murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated robbery.

Darrough was taken to the hospital after his arrest to be tested for possible drug use.

I listened to that incident. They should have shot him...just sayin'..Give the police an "atta' boy" for not killing his sorry self. Right now I want to go to grocery at Geyer Springs and Baseline, but there are several incidents going on there. That 5001 address is right down the street from me, The police get called there every day and for three days in a row it was because there were 20-25 men loitering in the parking lot. Almost all the people up to no good today are carrying guns, It is unbelievable. God Bless the Little Rock Police

I've never had a problem with any of them, nor do I know anyone that has. They are like any other group in my eyes; they have the good, the bad, and the ugly - just like in the church I belong to. My brother was a charter member of the Furlow chapter; there was some great guys in that group, and a few a**holes also. Just like the church I belong to! If you live in the Jax area, or go out to M & M's on occasion, we probably have passed each other. Again - thanks for your service to our country, and Ride Free!

Being a 1%'er doesnt mean what most think. It has several meanings, it just depends. I know a lot of people affiliated with the local Boozefighters, a lot of great people. Once I became "non-affiliated" with my group, I chose not to become affiliated with any other groups. Im not saying I dont not support what they represent, I'm just enjoying the freedom of being me. There are a lot of rough clubs out there, Vagos, Outlaws, Bandidos, Highwaymen, Pagans, Hells Angels, etc., but not all of them are what they use to be. Been in many a territorial battle in my hayday, but its nothing like it was in the 60's and 70's. Maybe I'll see ya on the road, or maybe I have and didnt know it.

I understand. Brother had an aftermarket parts shop in San Antonio. Met a few 1%er's, and partied with them a few times. Not as bad as the media makes them out to be; he was even asked to prospect, but turned them down. Wasn't going to sign over his 47 Knuckle! He was in the VNV MC and the Boozefighters. Me, motorcycle ministry, PGR, and ABATE. Keep the shiny side up and Ride Free!

Not in the PGR. I did ride with a club back in the late 60's up to the late 90's. I cant say which one and its not because I'm ashamed or scared, just part of it. Earned and have my 1%'ers tatt. Still wear my jacket adorned with ALL of my patches. Still ride my old Panhead and Knuckle all over the place. Own several HD's. Im just a damn proud, very patriotic American that is fed up with a lot of crap.

There are a lot of nuts with guns out there, way to many. It is easier for a convicted felon to get a gun than a person with a clean record. The thugs selling guns on the streets dont require paperwork or a waiting period. They are putting guns in the hands of nuts all of the time at a quicker pace than those of us that do it the right way. I have a CCW permit and I carry all of the time. Like Yankee, I do not go out looking for trouble, but if trouble comes my way, I want to be prepared. I spent many years in the military, after retiring from there I went into national security. All of the years with the military and national security have provided me with tons of training in not only using a weapon, but also taking a weapon away from someone in a combat scenario. I to am an avid biker, sport the biker look as well. I'll be damned tho if I am going to let some punk ass thug run up on me and me not be prepared. My person, my vehicles and my home are always armed and protected in some form. I'm not a gun nut, just an avid hunter and gun collector who also believes in self protection for myself and my family.

One more thing before I sign off for the night. You and I have a lot more in common than you think. I'd say we were born around the same time; I'm a "52" model. We've both been around. We both were or are bikers. We've been around the good, bad, and ugly when it comes to bikers. We've both partied a lot I imagine. I've done most, but not all. Never did any LSD or heroin; but was an avid pot head for almost 25 years until heart disease put an end to that. I've tried coke; only when offered at parties; never bought any, and as I was already buzzed from drinking and smoking, it didn't do anything for me. I used meth a few times in the late 80's; it helped me stay "up" for hours at a time with that sweet hard belly in San Antonio; ah the memories! I've smoked peyote buttons, and ate them also. I've had some of the best hash in the world, and loved it! I've smoked mushrooms at an Easy Riders Rodeo in Austin; they weren't any good. I've drank enough Bud to float a battleship; and I've enjoyed my share of Boone's Farm when I was a teenager, then gradutated to Jack Daniels and Canadian Club. Enjoyed my share of Bacardi Rum from Mexico way. Never put a needle in my arm though. We like some of the same kind of music. You mentioned getting the LED out. My 2nd favorite band. I'm into all kinds of music from Dean Martin to Jerry Jeff Walker to the Beatles, Doors, Steppenwolf, Cash, Hank Sr and Jr, classical and jazz. No rap please. I listen to the Edge; hard rock my favorite. I mistakenly thought your post was an invite. A later post told me it was an invite for anyone wanting trouble, not a friendly invite. Shame, I wanted to meet you and shoot the breeze; you seem to be a most interesting person. Everyone I know is welcome to come by anytime; I'm not hiding anything, or hiding from anyone. But I'll not post my home on this website; too many nuts and crazies on here. Peace out Butch.

That boy is lucky the Police chose to hide behind their cars until he ran out of bullets instead of what they should have done.

I do not enjoy killing animals. And I would be most upset if I had to kill another human being to defend a life. I'm a catch and release fisherman. I tried hunting once; both squirrels had worms, so I gave that up right off the bat. I could shoot deer from my front door all year round; but don't care for the meat. I kill only when necessary. And not for pleasure. The only pleasure I get from guns is having the ability of gun control - being able to hit my target on the first shot. I have no quarrel with you; but your comments about CCP owners is out of line. Most of us are sane, responsible, caring, concerned, law abiding citizens. I'll admit, there are a few on here that sound nuts; but that is their problem, not mine. And I'll tell you a story about an attempted car jacking on Roosevelt many years ago. An Airman friend of mine had a buddy that was at a stop light. A man came up to his truck and opened the door; pointed a pistol at him and told him to get out of the truck. The airman had a 44 mag sitting next to him. He picked it up and pointed it at the criminal. Said he never seen a man run so fast in his life! LOL He didn't shoot him; just run his crackhead a** off is all. He could have shot the man, and would have been in the right had he done so as he had a gun in his face; but he didn't; and I think most CCP owners are like him. We don't want to "hunt"; we just want to protect our families, property, and ourselves.
