Police: Flaming Bottles Thrown at Benton Church

Detectives are investigating the case as arson.
BENTON, AR - Minor damage is reported at a local church where police say someone tossed flaming bottles at the building.

It happened during the overnight hours of Wednesday night into Thursday morning at the Midtown Church on Boone Road.

Police say someone tossed a rock through a window of the church and followed it up with two bottles filled with flammable liquids.

One of the bottles exploded outside the church while part of the flaming liquid from the other one made it inside the church. 

Police are asking for anybody who witnessed anything out of the ordinary near the church to give them a call at (501) 778-1171 or (501) 315-TIPS.
