HOT SPRINGS, AR – Police say a man has been charged with homicide after a baseball bat beating left one dead.

According to reports, around 2:42 am on August 22, officers from the Hot Springs Police Department responded to a call about a man being beat with a bat at the El Rancho Motel, located at 1611 Central Avenue.

When they arrived, police found the suspect, later identified as David Felty, 41, attempting to leave the scene. Felty was arrested as the victim, James Cranford, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

Police say Felty has been charged with homicide in connection to Cranford’s death.

The investigation is ongoing.

No there is no need to register the first assault weapons known to man. Being rocks and clubs. Baseball bats should be covered in those.

El Roacho Motel is what it should be. I doubt the suspect and victim were arguing over a Bible verse. Purtty good chance it was over drugs or a whore, or a drugged up whore. HAHAHAHA

So do we have to register our bats now? Do we need to pay the state to have a license to carry one? Bat's don't kill people; people kill people.
