Blackandproud, yes, you can't blame it on being low-income housing. Blame it on the people who live in that area. Demopublican called it right. Silver City Courts is a cesspool where people from their claim to be hood gangstas all the time. I've gone to school with people who live there and that's their mindset. Almost everybody who I went to school with, black, white, or other, knew to avoid the "Off-Pike" area because it's not the nicest place to be.

Thats why I stay my butt outta that area. Like Ive said before, crime is everywhere, cant stop that, but I sure as hell am not going to drive myself or my family to a city that has had what, 27 or 28 murders in less than 7 months? Not no, but hell no.

A person cant even go to the River Market without the hood rats mugging people around the Capitol Hotel. It is a shame.

cesspool? first of all you dont have any evidence that this was related to anyone in silver city courts apartments.there is nothing wrong with low income housing, the problem is murderers. you cannot just blame crime on poor people. wealthy people commit crimes too nicer areas have criminals too the cesspool is america. no doubt murders are picking up and that is always scary but it is not just poor people in low income houses. you say you see drug deals take place i am sure that is a lie. and since you are so observant do you ever notice any old men looking at little girls in your area? do you ever notice anyone stealing from their employers? yes something needs to be done and yes low income areas need to make sure they keep crime out but you just cant blame it all on the poor. you dont have any idea if the victims or the suspect(s) are poor you are just babbling and your type of ignorance is intolerable.

Why doesn't the city shut down these cesspools of crime like the Silver City Courts housing complex. If a private landowner had the same thing going on in his complex they would shut it down like the Apartments in Little Rock on cantrell road that is being shut down because of crime or the numerous bars or hotels that have been shut down. Double standard when the Gooberment owns it. I guess.
