TEXARKANA, AR - Police say a man was shot in the head and killed during a fight with his stepson Saturday evening.

The incident happened in a garage apartment in the 300 block of Meadows Street. The victim, 47-year-old Frank Duggan, died of a single shotgun blast to the head, according to police.

Investigators say Duggan and his step son, 19-year-old Kenan Strange, were arguing when the shooting occurred. Strange was arrested on scene without incident and faces charges of capital murder.

I understand where you are coming from AgentBurn. I also didn't say he made the best decision, though we can't know the exact circumstances that took place. However there are certain aspects, that I can't discuss, that are vital. I just ask that people keep an open mind. I also will not likely be returning to this page. No need for some ridiculous internet argument.

Self defense? Are you joking? A correctional officer certainly knows the difference between an immobilizing wound and a "kill shot". A shotgun blast to the head is not a defensive wound. Get real "unfetteredfact".

This man is not a lost soul. He is a smart youth, and correctional officer. The "step dad" was a freakin psycho, with a history of issues; and never treated his wife or Mr. Strange very well. If this is not dropped for self defense, it will be a disgrace to law, and a loss for society.

He doesn't look beligerant to me at all. Looks very sad - and worried. And there is hurt in his eyes. 19 years old. I have a son that age. So glad my son's eyes are bright and shining. Very, very sad.
