Police Warn Against Craigslist Purchases

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Little Rock police are warning people to take extra precaution when buying items on Craigslist.

In two separate robberies, people thought they were meeting up to buy items like iPads and cellphones.  Instead, they were robbed at gunpoint.

One robbery happened at the Waffle House on Bankhead Road near Clinton National Airport.

Little Rock police remind people using the site to set up meetings with potential buyers in public areas.

"If he doesn't want to sell the items on your terms as far as making you feel safe and comfortable, than maybe that's not something you want to enter into," said Cassandra Davis of the Little Rock Police Department.

Police say this is not the first time the website has been used as a set up for a crime.
