Police looking for suspected double bank robbery

Police believe the same man that robber a bank in Jacksonville Wednesday also robbed a bank in Conway two weeks ago.
JACKSONVILLE, AR - Police believe the same man that robbed a bank in Jacksonville Wednesday also robbed a bank in Conway two weeks ago.

Police say a man walked in to the Centennial Bank on Chestnut in Conway June 11, handed the teller a note saying he had a gun. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

On June 27, police say a man walked into the First Arkansas Bank and Trust on JP Wright Loop Road in Jacksonville, handed the teller a similar note, and left with the money.

Investigators believe the same suspect robbed both banks. He is described as being 5’0" to 6'2' tall and weighs between 200 and 220 pounds. He was wearing a yellow baseball hat, yellow polo-style shirt and shorts in the Conway robbery and a green baseball hat, plaid shirt and shorts, and black shoes in the Jacksonville robbery.
