The City of Little Rock needs to deal with this, the City hired him. DWI, if convicted is a crime, and failure to take the test as a police officer concerns me. I hope MADD keeps up with this case.

Be an average person in this state and mess up at all. You will find what most of us already know you are GUILTY until you can either prove you are innocent, have enough money to buy your way out or you know the right people. The laws should be harsher on those people who put themselves in positions of authority and abuse that authority. ESPECIALLY police officers. I sure wouldn't have gotten paid leave. Must be nice. I don't care what color or anything else you are.

He's not qualified to be a policeman. His breaking of the laws of our state should get him fired, fined and put on probation. Society just can't tolerate drunks; police officers more especially, out there driving on the highways and roadways of out state.

Shameless you sound like one of those cyber bully punks from the arktimes. Your misguided and misinformed comments are unappreciated here. I have to agree with the Boss78. The last few officers that we're CONVICTED with DWI were dept with by their departments. Remember we are an innocent until proven guilty system. Guard you have made a typo...... He WAS in line for a promotion.... Not Anymore! I personally would like to say congrats to the Sherwood PD and the officers who are standing their ground and keeping the city safe from whatever may occur.

What a shame!!!! I'm tired of hearing about high profile employees like Police, Teachers, Pastors, Politicians and so on abuse their oath to the community and their positions. I personally can care less what race they are. Their all scum bags and deserve the same treatment as anyone else. I do know that actions like this make it so hard for the good to be recognized because the bad apples make the whole damn bag soar. Its never fair and even though this idiot messed up I still believe and know there are good.

If this badge carrying thug had stayed on his own turf he would never have been arrested unless he seriously injured someone

Ignorant people, ignorant comments. This officer is and will be charged like any "average Joe". He's on paid leave pending an investigation because that is mandatory. The city of Little Rock has to do things a certain way to prevent any potential legal action. Don't be too quick to jump on our law enforcement because of a few bad apples. If memory serves correctly... the last few officers who made the news for bad actions were released from duty!
