HARRISBURG, Ark. (AP) — Police in Harrisburg say a 19-year-old man died after accidentally being shot by his father.

Police Chief Gary Hefner says Brian Kramer died at St. Bernards Medical Center on Monday after being shot earlier in the day.

Hefner says witness told investigators that Kramer's father — Larry Kramer — was unloading a handgun when it accidentally discharged and struck Brian Kramer.

you people are total idiots... Accidents happen. I know the family and they lost their father last week to cancer so lay off the "something just isn't rights" Michael, you need to get a life and/or a job to occupy your time, and keep the comments to yourself. The family has suffered enough without your mindless "thought tossing" get a grip, try saying a prayer for the longsuffering this father will go through for the rest of his life!

Family members are not suppose to be used as a back stop when clearing a weapon. As for me I always point at the floor (wooden) or go outside when I clear my weapon. Something is missing in this story. Was there alcohol involved, was the person inexperienced with firearms, or something else. It just does not add up.

IF THIS WAS A ACCIDENT . I FEEL SO BAD FOR THIS FATHER, HE WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS THE REST OF HIS LIFE. HE LOST HIS SON THAT IAM SURE HE LOVED DEARLY. AND THE FACT THAT HE IS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT. A LESSON TO BE LEARNED HERE FOR ALL OF US AND THE WAY WE RESPECT GUNS.
