Pre-Trial Hearing for Man Charged in Firefighter's Death

Bryce Allen is accused in the hit and run incident that happened last year in Jacksonville.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A man charged in the 2012 death of a Jacksonville firefighter who was runover at an accident scene, learns today if he will be ordered to stand trial.

A Pulaski County Circuit Court judge will consider results of a mental evaluation on Bryce Allen that were made public last week.

The 18-page analysis says Allen understands the murder and attempted murder charges he faces, but not the terroristic threatening and fleeing charges.

Investigators say Allen ran into Jacksonville firefighters Donny Jones and Jason Bowmaster and police officer Daniel DiMatteo. Jones died of his injuries.

Back in August, a judge ruled Allen was mentally unable to stand trial.
