Prescott native Rachel Hale will perform during Hollywood Week on "American Idol" tonight. Hale is a 2009 graduate of the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts in Hot Springs.

While attending ASMSA, Hale also played soccer at Hot Springs High School for one semester. She is currently a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.

Hale auditioned for the show in Long Beach, Calif., and impressed the judges with her voice and personality, earning a Golden Ticket for the Hollywood Week rounds.

"American Idol" judges will narrow the field of women to 20 semifinalists during the Hollywood round. Those who make it past Hollywood will move on to the Las Vegas round, where further auditions will be held to determine which performers make it to the live television rounds for public voting.

Today's episode airs at 7 p.m. Central on Fox. The announcement of the 40 semifinalists (20 women, 20 men) who will move on to the Las Vegas round will air at 7 p.m. Thursday on Fox.
