LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Sunday, pro-life supporters gathered outside Little Rock Family Planning to kick off their "Forty Days for Life" campaign. It is an effort to pray and fast forty days, with the hope of stopping abortions.

"It is very important because the life of every individual is very special and we all are sacred individuals created by God and in God's image. Every child is a human being from moment of conception on," said coordinator Marianne Linane.

About 75 people showed up for the campaign kickoff. Each had the message of inspiring women to choose other options besides having an abortion.

Supporters know they face heavy opposition from pro choice supporters, who believe women have the right to govern their own bodies.

"The choice comes before they get pregnant and not engaging in behavior that will produce a baby when they don't want one," said Linane.

I understand your position cm. But I respectfully disagree with any "good points" when it comes to murdering a baby in a womb. Yes, there is rape, abuse, abandoned children; but they are still human beings. Just because they haven't come out of the womb yet does not make them less than that. Me, I'm not going to protest against it. Me, I have enough on my list to worry about come judgment; but killing a child or supporting the killing of children isn't going to be one of them. And I've certainly no wish to control others lives; I have my own to worry about, and a prayer list a mile long concerning relatives and friends. And it's not my place to judge I reckon; that's God's job. I'll let those with "valid points" plead their own case when standing before God. And to them I say, Good Luck!

A.Y. I WASN'T Saying that I agree with abortion. Personaly I would never do that to a child or any thing els to harm one for that matter. You can't control every one elses life. The only one you really have control over is your own. If every one would take control of they're own including taking responsibility for they're own actions.... This world would be a better place. Stop trying to steal from others what they worked for. Get off of your tail and go to work even if it's picking up cans off of the side of the road. Stop making babies that you can't take care of. Use protection or abstenance.Stop taking on pets when your already over loaded. In other words... If your already having trouble feeding your family... Don't go get a dog. People really need to get a grip. Excuse me. I wasn't trying to go out into left field. The fact is... Freedom isn't free and your not only free when its convenient for every one els. You will pay your price at the end just the same as i will when its my time. I don't need a baby sitter and I don't want to be one eather. Don't step on my toes and I wont step on yours. It's called having respect for others feelings and rights. I don't agree with abortion. The same as I don't agree with seeing on the news were some mother or father drawn or stabb/shot there children. Take it for what its worth. People are gonna do what they're gonna do legal or not. I think LSSLSM and Jimmyjack123 have some really good points.

There was a time in my life when I was pro choice. But I've grown older and wiser to some extent. And it's all not about religion to me; try explaining the Bill of Rights to an aborted fetus. Try explaining life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to a dead baby in a dumpster. Use whatever excuses you wish to clear your conscience; but a fetus is a human being. Freedom? What about the child's freedom to live?

I am Pro Life but I understand the situations involving rape, incest, the mothers life in danger, etc...But since 1973 Roe VS Wade there have been over 50 million abortions...So if you allow 10 million for rape and incest and mothers life in danger...You will not come close to the 10 million figure over this period of time...So Free Choice means you have the choice to not have sex, or use protection...When 40 million babies are killed for birth control, then something is seriously wrong...Woman need to take responsibility, and have the right to be responsible for their actions...If there isn't any danger to the mother or mom then put the child up for adoption...But do not make a choice to kill a child....The sad thing is, all these woman, they had the right to be born, and life is life...I have the right to my own body, but I need to also be responsible....And did you know in mid term abortions you can hear the baby scream! How selfesh to even consider having an abortion when there are families that will love these kids...And I promise you the mothers who abort would love these kids too, if they would do the right thing...And having an abortion when child and mother are fine, and its with a mutal relationship is murder....!

Does each and every one of those protestors vow to adopt and support for life all of the babies that don't get aborted? Physical disabilities or not. No matter if the mother's life is in danger if she continues with the pregnancy. No matter if the mother is just a child and the pregnancy was the result of rape/abuse. ALL of them. No, I think not. It sure is alot of fun getting your 15 minutes of face in the news, then you can go on home to your wonderful lives and forget all about the unwanted 'older' kids in foster homes that are getting abused, don't have enough to eat if they ARE living at home; living in poverty and being exposed to their mother's drug habits or multiple men, or not ever knowing who their father is.
