Prosecutor wants to appeal order on ex-lawmaker

A prosecutor says he wants to appeal a judge's order that cleared former Arkansas lawmaker and Harlem Globetrotter Fred Smith's record in a felony theft case that state Democrats say makes the ex-legislator ineligible to run for office.

Another joke of a situation. It should have never been allowed to go this far. He has been ineligible since day one, and still is.

The harder they try to keep him off the ballot, the more attention he gets. If they would have just left him alone, it's doubtful he would have gotten many votes. I didn't even know who he was until all the hoopla the state Democrats have created over this.
