LITTLE ROCK, AR - A Pulaski County deputy faces felony charges in incident that took place in July in Garland County.
Garland County Prosecutor Steve Oliver says Lt. Corey Lawson is charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony. The charge stems from a July incident in which, according to Garland County investigators, Lawson became upset with his girlfriend at the Brady Mountain Resort, pushed her, and then rammed his truck into a gate twice
, tearing it down.
After the incident, Pulaski County Sheriff Doc Holladay suspended Lawson for four weeks without pay
. At the time, Holladay said that potential criminal charges against Lawson could change his status within the agency.
