LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A strong season, but not enough to pull off a victory against LSU. Friday, the Tigers beat Arkansas in Death Valley, 41 to 17.

The Razorbacks started the game with a lot of momentum, but the number one team in the country found even more power. Local fans knew winning against LSU would be tough.

"You can't say that (LSU) are not the better team. Our offense is good, but (LSU) held us in check though. They are a very good team and very tough. They got some great athletes. They are a great team," said fan Geoffrey Campbell

But now attention turns to what lies ahead, as the Razorbacks look to post season bowl games and the 2012 team.

"We got a lot of new young guys that really haven't been in the spot light yet and could really shine," said fan Lance Wilcox.

Fans say the return of Coach Bobby Petrino next season is another positive.

"He's a team builder. He knows how to build a team and keep them together," said fan Tim Gardner.

william, answer me this. Who has Houston played? Who has Boise State played? I'll tell you. A bunch of talentless teams in conferences that consist of very subpar teams. Houston and Boise wouldnt hold a candle to SEC teams. With the exception of Ole Miss. The BCS is a joke and Im glad they are finally seeing that. The Big East has an automatic BCS berth. Why? They should do away with the "6 game eligibility" and make bowls only for those teams with a .500 or better conference record. Do away with the BCS bowls, except the national championship. Go to a playoff system to determine the best teams.

Smell that? I do, another JEALOUS wishing to-be Hog fan and yes I am talking to you william69. Yes I would like to see Houston ranked higher since they are having a good season, but Arkansas has lost to the 1 and 2 teams in the country! Get real and the rest of their schedule WAS NO CUPCAKE!! First 3 games, yes, but the rest besides Ole Miss and Tennessee NO WAY! WHAT ARE U SMOKING? Quality teams in the SEC and we beat them besides LSU and Bama of course. Get real and don't cry over your jealousy. Good Luck to Houston I will be pulling for them, unless they play the Hogs in a bowl game then its on. -Go Hogs.

They played 2 top 10 teams and lost. No surprise. The rest of the teams they played were cupcakes. They were over rated making it to the number 3 spot. What a joke. Houston should be in the top 5. Well maybe the hogs can play the ASU Indians in a bowl.
