LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Dotting the sky with purple balloons is how cancer survivors show their faith in finding a cure.

Friday night, the American Cancer Society held its relay for life fundraiser on the lawn of the Clinton Center.

"I consider cancer a tremendous blessing. Because of it, I have learned the deep riches of what Jesus Christ has done for me," said survivor Ethan Helm.

The event ended Saturday morning at six in the morning. Planners hoped to raise $50,000 for research.

"There is going to be about $12 million cancer survivors this year who are going to celebrate a birthday because of events like this," said Senator Mark Pryor.
