MAGNOLIA, Ark. (AP) — Southern Arkansas University officials say the remains of a horse that was stolen from school grounds several weeks ago have been recovered in southeastern Oklahoma.

University police chief Eric Plummer said in a statement that the McCurtain County Sheriff's office in far southeastern Oklahoma found the remains of "Credit Card" Friday morning. Plummer declined to disclose where the 15-year-old sorrel gelding was discovered.

"Credit Card," four other horses and some equipment were taken from the Magnolia university's Mulerider Stables during the overnight hours of Nov. 2. Members of the school's rodeo team own the horses.

Oklahoma authorities recovered the other four horses on Nov. 15. They found a livestock trailer on Nov. 3, and saddles and blankets were recovered about a week later.

I honestly don't know how you could be as to so cold to kill a horse that had done nothing wrong to you. How could you look someones best friend in the eye and shoot him. And also how could you have someone kill that horse thats beyond cruel. You don't know how much time and effert go into training a horse, all for someone to come in and shoot him. People need to start taking a look at what they are doing before they start doing things that are stupid. How do you think that horse felt being tyed to that tree waiting for shaun to come feed him, water him, take care of him. What people don't understand is to Shaun and any one else that has ever owned or been around horses knows that they will do what ever it is to help you out, to give you the best shot at a calf, to keep you out of harms way. That horse was not out to hurt any one and look at what the price he had to pay. Tell me how fair that is? He's not just a horse, not just a peice of property he is a living breathing animal, part of someone's family, and they distroyed that.

Hey everybody. Dont worry about those who are guilty whether they be persuecuted here on earth. The bible says "Vengence is mine", saith the Lord. Those who are responsible will surely wreep Gods wrath on judgement day. As for Credit Card, you will never be forgotten. RIP you magnificent animal. You were the lucky one who has to never again suffer. God Bless those who are concered. May God have mercy on those responsible.

Whoever stole those horses and left them in the woods to die should be prosecuted with every charge possible. It is ridiculous to treat an innocent animal that way in what appears to be an attempt to sabatoge the rodeo team. Those horses didn't do anything wrong. I feel very sorry for all the owners, especially the one of "Credit Card". It takes a long time and a lot of hours to train a champion horse. I'm sure they are devastated. I sure hope the people responsible are held accountable.

It would be interesting to see who in Tom, OK, has a connection with the SAU Rodeo team, wouldn't it?

whoever is responsible for the theft and abuse to these horses and the death of the one that has been found, needs the same punishment he or she inflicted upon those horses. Thats ridiculous for someone or persons to do that and get away with it.. I feel so sorry for those horses, and their owners. I have horses of my own and if I went one day without seeing them or if one were hurt I would just feel so bad. My horses are my life they are the highlight of my day. I cant imagine loosing one or much less someone taking them, I would not stop until someone pays for what they did.
