@theITguy - THANK YOU for that update. Let's hope that is the sentiment now shared by ALL of Congress. I know, I believe in unicorns, too.

Nine minutes ago, Congressman Griffin posted a "note" on his Facebook page stating that he will remove his sponsorship of the SOPA bill after getting feedback from his constituents. At the end, he said, "More work must be done by Members of Congress and the content and tech communities to reach consensus on this issue." My reply? Congress should not "police" the Internet as the USA does not own it!

I'm wondering about what you wrote there, ibinar. "Griffin is a dumbocrate". You sure about that? Just how good is your reading comprehension and ability to surf the 'Net, by the way? Lemme quote you here: "well, no wonder he's for something as stupid as SOPA & PIPA". Well, golly gee! He's a Republican! How 'bout that? Looks like someone else here is a dumbo, too. Be sure you go to the correct table when you vote in the primaries this year. I wouldn't want you looking down and seeing that you checked 'Obama' on the ballot and not being able to go back and swap it!

PIPA & SOPA were designed to target offshore, foreign websites that are stealing American material that has a copyright on it.How can these bills target & "punish" websites that we have no control over since they are outside our borders?

I just posted a comment after reading Fox's story and thought, I better check this guy out. OMG, he's a dumbocrate..... well, no wonder he's for something as stupid as SOPA & PIPA. NUFF SAID!!!!

This bill is absurd!!! If it's such a "wonderful bill," why are the Internet "big players" so against it??? It's too restrictive, that's why. I tried to access Wikipedia today and it's blacked out to show what it would be like if this nutty bill passed. Hey Congress... back to the drawing board on this one!!!!

SOPA is a violation of the first amendment...If a company feels they've been pirated, they should go about it the way they always have...Get a lawyer and file a claim...
