NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man suspected of giving a pipe bomb to his therapist and causing the Family Services building in North Little Rock to be evacuated was arrested Thursday.
The “incendiary device” was allegedly given by 37-year-old Aaron Lewis. He was arrested at his home in Little Rock.
According to police report, Lewis gave his therapist the device, a four inch long copper pipe, covered on both ends by a cap and with a fuse coming out of the end. In the report, the therapist says she had device for a day and a half and thought nothing of it.
As she reviewed her client’s file, she discovered he had made similar devices in the past that had injured himself and property. That is when the therapist contacted police.
Lewis is slated to appear before a Federal Judge for possession of an unregistered destructive device.
