Report: Rape suspect kills himself in jail

A man in the Pulaski County Jail on rape charges killed himself Friday morning, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man in the Pulaski County Jail on rape charges killed himself Friday morning, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

18-year-old Jeremy Hannibal was found hanging from his bunk by his bed sheets. Deputies and nurses at the jail performed CPR and used a defibrillator, trying to revive Hannibal, according to the report. MEMS arrived later and took Hannibal to UAMS, where he was declared dead.

Hannibal was booked into jail on April 4th on a rape charge. His bond was set a $25,000.
