CARLISLE, AR – A woman is in the hospital with both legs amputated after her sister reportedly ran her over with a car during an argument between the sister and another male family member.
According to the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the disturbance at a home on Highway 381 in Carlisle early Sunday morning. The 35-year-old victim was taken to the hospital via med-flight where her legs were amputated as a result of her injuries.
Arrested is 32-year-old Cherly Marie Kelly. The sheriff’s office says that Kelly told them she did not intend to run over her sister, rather, she was trying to scare the male family member.
Kelly is charged with 1st degree domestic battery.
