MALVERN, AR – The Arkansas Department of Legislative Audit has released a report regarding a theft at Malvern Water Works.
The report details a review of receipts, deposits, financial statements connected to the city’s water department. Among other things, the review found cash receipts were not deposited and that many problems could be attributed to “internal control deficiencies.”
On August 23, police arrested Kenneth Henson, who they say was responsible for bank deposits, after the Arkansas State Police found $226,995.55 missing from the department. Henson was charged with Theft of Property
