Reward offered for information in arson, burglary case

MENA, AR - Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for starting a fire at a Mena grocery store.

According to reports, the fire was discovered by police around 5:30 am on June 21, 2011 at James Super Save Foods Store, located at 707 7th Street in Mena.

Investigators believe the fire that destroyed the building was set during the course of a burglary of the store cashier offices.

Anyone with information that may lead to an arrest in the burglary and arson is asked to contact Mena Police Chief Jimmy Doster at (479) 394-1212 or Arkansas State Police, CID, Company C at Hope, (870) 777-8944.
