Reward offered in Bald Eagle killing

LOGAN COUNTY, AR – Authorities are looking for the person who shot a Bald Eagle in Logan County.

The bird was found on Feb 9th about a half mile east of Magazine. The bird was alive when it was found and taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center, but later died.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to a conviction.

Bald eagles are federally protected and anyone killing one of the birds can be fined up to $100,000 and be sent to prison for a year.
