Ridout Lumber in Cabot catches fire

CABOT, AR – Cabot fire crews spent most of Tuesday night putting out a fire at the Ridout Lumber Company on Main Street.

The Cabot Fire Department says the fire started in a warehouse attached to the showroom around 9pm. The fire was first spotted by an off-duty police officer in the area, who noticed smoke.

The fire was extinguished around 10:30pm, but fire crews planned to spend several more hours on site monitoring flare-ups and hot spots.

No injuries were immediately reported with the fire. It is unknown how it started or how much damage it caused.
