Road crews to close alternating lanes on I-40

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Officials say crews will alternate lane closures on Interstate 40 for the next three days.

Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department workers will inspect plowable lane markers in the North Little Rock area Tuesday morning.

In the Morgan area, the crews will close the westbound outside lane at milemarkers 138 through 147 from 9 a.m. to noon, and the eastbound outside lane will close from noon to 3 p.m.

In the Crystal Hill/Burns Park area Wednesday, the eastbound outside lane will close at milemarkers 147 through 150 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the westbound outside lane will close from noon to 3 p.m.

On Thursday, the eastbound inside lane will close from 9 a.m. to noon and the westbound inside lane will close from noon to 3 p.m.
