LAKE VILLAGE, AR - Two Louisiana men are dead after being hit by an eighteen wheeler.

Arkansas State Police investigators say 22-year-old Robert Christopher and 26-year-old Joshua Brooks both of Oak Grove, Louisiana, were fighting in the roadway, on Highway 82 in Chicot County around 1:30am on March 25, when they were struck by a truck heading eastbound.

Police say the driver of the truck, 42-year-old Donald Ray of Celeste, Texas, was not injured.

No word yet on the relationship between the two victims or what they were fighting about.

possibly put a stirring in your heart to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior or re-evaluate your walk with Him. No one knows the real reason except our King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It saddens me that we as human beings are created in His image but we can be so uncouth and cruel. Its not a matter who or how it happened. It simply boils down to “What can I as an individual gain from this and better my own life to fulfill Christ’s purpose that He has chosen for me.” We should live to Christ and live for one another. In Ephesians it says to be “completely humble & gentle; be patient heaving with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” I pray that we can all be a “Christ-like” example to each and every one we meet this side of heaven. I hope that the families of this event (including the truck driver and his family) seek refuge in the Lord Jesus Christ at this time. I will continue to pray for everyone that comments on these post and every one that visits this site to read the article. To each of you, Jesus will carry YOU everyday and all the way. I consider you all my brothers and sisters in Christ and I hope God fulfills each of your lives with many blessings and happiness. Jesus said, “ Come to me, all you who are weary & burdened & I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you & learn from me, for I am gentle & humble in heart, & you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29

I’ve read these post & tried to refrain from commenting, but then I decided that we as Christians need to stand up more often & be a burning light for God’s Kingdom. With that said, who are you to cast the first stone of judgment upon these young men. I find it utmost repulsive that individuals take a sense of contentment from basking in the news of someone else’s tragedy. To those that have commented, as inviting as it may be to express your innermost thoughts on what seemed to be a preventable death its not fair to ridicule these men.We don’t know when and where each and every one of us with take our own last breath on this earth, so who are we to insinuate that we are any better or so called “more intelligent” than the lives of these two men. This is why we must be slow to speech in commenting on how we might feel on this matter. I do not know the men personally, but I am from the general area and this does affect my own household. Regardless of what we think about this situation, this was those young men’s appointed time to be called home. The Lord says, “See I have engraved you on the palm of my hands.” Isaiah 49:16. Therefore, he knew even before these two men were born that this day would shortly come. Since then, He has been praying and preparing for them a place in heaven. I do not know what they had in their hearts, but I do know that this was part of God’s plan, and whatever is in God’s will, Will be done. The Good Lord did this for an unexplainable reason. Maybe this was to save someone’s life from the fiery pits of hell. Being reared in a small town I know that an event like this doesn’t only strike a family but a community. Just think of the young lives that can potentially be touched and saved from this horrific event. If one person embarks on a future relationship with Jesus Christ from this event then that is a blessing in itself. Just think, maybe this happened for one of you who have posted a comment, this might possibly put a stirring in your hea

Wow, some people just do not have any respect. I just hope and pray that you people who are posting all the tactless remarks never have to endure what the families of these poor boys are having to endure right now. Everybody makes mistakes and at times has bad judgement, even you and your loved ones, so remember that, it could have easily been one of your family members!! My heart and prayers go out to their families!!

I too feel deeply sorry for the individual driving the eighteen wheeler, I know I would be an emotional wreck if I had been the driver (regardless of whether I was at fault). BUT, we should all realize that not all of the facts have been realeased and that these two men (who were 26 and 22, not 16 and 22) had families and friends who read these posts, so please keep them tasteful. I know many of you feel inclined to make "snide" remarks because the accident seems so avoidable, and who knows maybe it could have been.... but we do not know the actaul circumstances so maybe we should limit our speculations. While details have not been confirmed, it may be that one of the men was fighting in self-defense. While this doesn't warrant a brawl in the middle of the road, it seems disrespectful to make these comments of a man trying to protect himself. As for the comments about Robbie, I think that his personal life is somewhat irrelevant.... he is no longer here to feel the pain of these tacky comments, but his survivors are. People make mistakes, people get in fights (and we do not know the details of this particular fight), but the same unforuntate accident could have happened at seven o'clock at night just as easily. It is sad that we must argue about such unfortunate events, but I am more than willing to stand up for the families of the deceased in this situation.... I sympathize with all parties, especially the driver... but this was a terrible ACCIDENT nontheless.

People make mistakes only god is perfect. We shouldn't judge a book by its cover. If u r the one to point the finger then ur guilty of something. It is a sad situation. God doesn't want us to judge cause he does the judging for us. If it is his will then it will be done.

I'm sorry bat102. I didn't realize that you were Jesus Christ. Robbie was a pipeliner as a matter of fact. Last night home before he went back to work. So keep your nose in your own business. You have no right to judge someone you don't even know. everyone makes mistakes and no matter the circumstances they did not deserve to die!! Either of them!
