Robber tries to take cash register from gas station

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police say man tried to take the cash register from the Shell Station in the 4100 block of West Markham this morning but only managed to get a small amount of money.

The clerk told police a man wearing a black hoodie and a red scarf entered the store about 6:45 am and walked to the cappuccino machine and made a coffee. The clerk says the man then walked to counter with the scarf around his face and attempted to take the cash register.

Police say the clerk fought over the cash register and the suspect punched the clerk in the face before grabbing a small amount of money and fleeing in an older 80’s model dark brown Lincoln Centennial with no license plate.
