Th students are adults and should be able to use their second amendment rights to bear arms and protect themselves. The police can not be everywhere, but a gun can be where needed. The criminals know that guns are illegal on campus and that make the students easy prey. Parking has been reduced for students ... there is no justifiable reason for faculty to have front of the building parking. They are doing a job and getting paid well. The students should have parking near the buildings and the faculty should walk further ... they are less likely to be attacked than a young woman. If they really care about their students, they would trade parking lots / spots immediately. Additionally, they added a surcharge that makes it unreasonable for a student to get a drink at the cafeteria, so they have to walk off campus in an unsafe area to get water or soda to go with their packed lunches. I am quite sure I paid enough in tuition to warrant my daughter being able to buy a drink and park in safety.

My granddaughter, will probably be the first child to be college home schooled. I said that as a joke but it is not to far fetched, if your children can't do the right thing in life and be safe you don't have too many aternatives. Prayers to this family and I hope that they catch this animal like yesterday.
