I see several here defend criminal activity. Its not the fact that he HAD the gun that made it illegal, it was the fact he had it concealed, without a permit and there were drugs involved. Anytime you have simultaneous possession of drugs and guns, youre headed to jail. You can have a gun sitting openly in your seat, on your dash or where ever, and as long as it isnt concealed or youre a felon, there is no crime.

lesson to be learned here: if you're going to drive on a suspended license and carry a gun under your seat, make sure all of your lights are working...

Some of you worry about the stupidest things. Who cares about a gun. I'm not afraid of a man with or without his gun. If your in my face bragging about one I just have to consider my choices better. Cowards are usually the product of backwater states. Legalize the pot and criminalize guns. Eat a few of those bars and get laid back. Your just to up tight.

Mr Tom, the article says "found to have a suspended license for a failure to pay fines, which would result in his car being towed" That means they'd have towed it if they found it parked at Kroger. If he'd paid his fines, he'd probably not have had his car towed. And you conveniently missed the "suspended license" part - he shouldn't have been driving at all.

relax - the gun charge stems from the illegal drug possession. But it was also 'concealed' under the driver's seat, and he most likely doesn't have a CCP.

If they had of just issued a ticket and a court date instead of cuffing him and taking him to jail, his car would not have been towed and his private property would not have been confinscated! Absolutely no way should suspended license be a reason to get arrested! just like tags being out of date, issue a ticket! I just think there are too many ways to get arrested now days is all! And no privacy of our personal belongings in our own home and our own automobile. Nobody elses business!

There are quite a few states you can OPEN carry in with no problem. Why does the constitution apply to all 50 states equally? Answer: Some states have passed unconstitutional laws that just havent been challenged and it is allowed to stand until someone will fight it to the supreme court.
