so that means they'll be going 90 mph instead of the average 70 that they do on that road. Those logging trucks and 18 wheelers will have a field day. wait until all the deadly wrecks happen, they'll soon lower it again.

As someone who takes 167 from Sheridan to Little Rock daily I am excited about this change.

They may as well increase it, people are doing it anyways. But there will still be those that will get out on the road and poke along at 45 MPH, and they will get ran over like they are now. Go down any interstate and see how many people are in the left lane doing 60 MPH. They will not get over to allow traffic that is doing the speed limit (or over, lol) to pass them, causing long lines of traffic and accidents. Move it or park it!

Meh...doesn't matter. People will still drive their Yukon XL Denali's 75+ no matter what condition those roads are in.

Why just 4 and 5 lane highways? Every rural road in AR needs to be at least 65 unless it is a sub grade road. Every other state that I have been to has 65 or higher exept for Lousiana. I can see why down there though because 90% of the drivers there cant drive. Its stupid that we are left in the stone age.

Thank goodness! It's well past time. I don't see why the limit has to remain 55 mph on other well-maintained but not four or five lane highways. Our braggart neighbor next door, Texas, has a 70 mph speed limit on most of its two-lane highways, and many of them are more crooked than ours are. Why do we more than Texans need to drive slowly? Are we not as smart as they? I do not understand why the highway commission was given the right to set speed limits anyway. They have enough to do just maintaining the highways. Let us go 60 on more poorly maintained highways and 65 on others.
