Thursday night the Little Rock School Board voted 4-3 to offer Dr. Linda Watson a 3 year contract as school superintendent. Right now the details of the contract still need to be hashed out.

Many teachers in the district say the classroom setting has improved since Watson was announced interim superintendent.

Board members were split on whether to offer the job to Dr. Watson or conduct a national search. Watson took the interim position after former Superintendent Roy Brooks left the job last year.

Which teachers have said that their classroom setting has improved??? You cannot tell me that we all of a sudden have improved support in the classroom for bad bahavior from students, a ton of technology to do our jobs better, a rulebook that is enforced, a dress code that is adhered to and all the supplies necessary to do our jobs with just because one woman (that was not voted in by ALL members of the board) has taken the position. Give me a break!!

I would like to know which teachers said their classrooms are better since Ms. Watson came. I am a LRSD teacher and I have noted no improvement in my classroom. Do you expect L.R. to believe that the students are behaving better because of a new superindentent? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! Most of them could not even give you her name--and if they did, they would most likely not use proper grammar.
