School Dedicates Reading Corner to Former Students Killed in December

Two little girls killed last December in their Arkadelphia home were honored Thursday at the school they attended.
ARKADELPHIA, AR - Two little girls killed last December in their Arkadelphia home were honored Thursday at the school they attended.

Perritt Primary School unveiled a remodeled reading corner dedicated to the memory of Adiele and Marley Crutchfield.

The two girls, along with their stepfather Chino Galbraith were the victims of a triple homicide at their home in December.

Family donations were used to create the space that would honor the two girls' lives.

"They loved Perritt Primary School," said the girls' grandmother, Suzette Crutchfield. "We were very blessed with friends and relatives who decided that we wanted to do something special here and the school took it on with the girl scouts and they have honored their memory so well."

The project was completed in cooperation with a local Girl Scout, Sierra Westberg, who is working toward achieving her Gold Award.

Adiele was also an active girl scout.

Drawings and poems directly from Adiele and Marley's journals were used in the painting.
