LITTLE ROCK, AR – All 3 Pulaski County school districts began registration for the 2012-2013 school year Monday.Little Rock School District
Registration is from January 23rd through February 3rd. If you would like to apply to attend a magnet school, minority-to-majority transfer, or other transfer options this is time period to submit your application.
From Jan 23rd to Jan 27th, Open Enrollment will be held at St. Mark Baptist Church at 5722 W. 12th Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
From Jan 30th to Feb 3rd, Open Enrollment will be held at the Student Registration office at 501 Sherman Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.For more information visit the district’s website.
Pulaski County Special School District
Registration is from January 23rd through February 3rd. Parents of students living within PCSSD must enroll their pre-kindergarten, kindergarten or new students for the 2012-2013 school year during new student registration.
All schools will host an open house on Thursday, January 26th from 9am to 2pm. Parents and guardians may stop in to tour a school and meet personnel.
Pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and elementary students will register at the school they will attend. Magnet School, Majority-to-Minority transfer students, and School Choice permit requests must visit the central office at 925 E. Dixon Road.
Secondary students must register at regional hub locations: Jacksonville and Sherwood secondary schools register at Sylvan Hills Middle School, 10001 Johnson Street, Sherwood; Robinson and Maumelle secondary schools register at Maumelle High School, 100 Victory Lane, Maumelle; and Fuller Middle School and Mills University High School students register at the District office.
Those who must register are new students entering pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, as well as students coming to PCSSD through the Majority-to-Minority (M-to-M) provision allowing transfers among the North Little Rock, Little Rock and PCSSD districts from students in a district where their race is in the majority to enroll at any school in a district where their race is in the minority. They are granted permission on a first-come, first-served basis.For more information visit the district’s website.
North Little Rock School District
Registration begins January 23rd. North Little Rock residents can register at their neighborhood school. Students zoned for the Pulaski County School District and the Little Rock School District wanting to enroll in the North Little Rock School District through Majority-to-Minority or School Choice must enroll at the NLRSD Administration Building located at 2700 N.
