Our school children are more important that highway workers to me. They haven't learned as much about safety yet. Triple the fines in school zones and a loss of license for at least a year with no back and forth work permit. I think that might get their attention. Second time triple that with a loss of plates on car.

Gee Miss Redmond where did you learn to drive. Where I learned you look both ways and make sure you can enter safely. Not throw caution to the wind and hope someone doesn't hit you. The driver on the road has the right of way. They might be speeding but you are still responsible for entering the highway in a safe manner. Just like the person on the highway maybe you should get out of your hurry and be more patent. Maybe it is time for you to go and get a drivers manual and review it. Police get of your lazy and write the ticket for failure to yield when they pull out in front of people. Also write the speeders. Who in their right mind speeds in school zones. Make the punishment hard for any infraction in a school zone. Start with a hefty fine and loss of license for a period of time.

Buddy Villines is too busy putting up another pedestrian bridge to worry about flashing lights in a school zone.
