Searchers Maintain Hope, Honor Missing Teen with Balloon Release

A balloon release was scheduled Wednesday at the high school in Walnut Ridge to honor missing 14-year-old Sidney Randall.
WALNUT RIDGE, AR -- A balloon release was scheduled Wednesday at the high school in Walnut Ridge to honor missing 14-year-old Sidney Randall.

Pictures of the missing teen cover Walnut Ridge, and volunteers have showed up by the dozen to help find the missing teen and show that they haven't given up hope.

Devine Wilson says she knew Randall, and hopes her being here will help.

"Just the effort of getting some ground covered and hopefully finding her," Wilson said.

Law enforcement says tips have been coming in steadily, as people who knew the teen's stepfather, John Cornell, and where he liked to go.

"We're looking at another possible location we know John frequented a lot, and where there's some cabins, so were fixing to run up there with these dog crews," Sheriff Jody Dotson said.

They've also revisited where Cornell was found shot; hoping they missed something

"Still we have not had any hits to indicate she had ever been where we found John," Sheriff Dotson says. "We don't know where he went from the last time they were seen at 10 to when he showed back up at 4:30 a.m..alone? Alone....."

Law enforcement asks if you are searching your own property to call and let them know what ground you covered.
