Searcy Store Clerk Survives Shooting During Robbery

Tuesday afternoon holdup happened at Citgo gas station on North Maple.
SEARCY, AR - A store clerk has survived being shot on the job during a robbery in Searcy.

It happened at around 1:00 this afternoon at the Citgo on North Maple.

The Searcy Police Department says Antar Singh, 50, of North Little Rock was shot in the leg. His injury does not appear to be life-threatening, according to police.

The suspect is described by police as a black man who was wearing a dark hoodie, black pants, wig and fake teeth. He is 6'0" tall and weighs about 180 pounds. Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

After getting the cash, the man got into a small white SUV and headed west on Arch Street.

This is the second armed robbery of a Searcy gas station this week. The other one happened early Sunday morning at the Valero on South Main.
