LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Searcy woman died in an accident on I-40 westbound near the I-30 interchange when her car rolled Thursday evening.

Peggy Thompson, 52, lost control of her Oldsmobile Cutlass while changing lanes, according to the Arkansas State Police. The car hit a concrete barrier and rolled. Thompson was not wearing her seat belt, according to the ASP.

Thompson’s 17-year-old passenger, who was wearing her seat belt, was injured in the accident and taken to UAMS.

My thoughts and prayers to the family as well. Those of you who don't wear them, something to think about is if you have a life insurance policy and you are killed in a MVA, your policy will not pay out....not to mention your loved ones don't want to be without you!

I saw this happen, I am still in tears, please wear your seat belt, the image will haunt me forever.

Prayers already sent up for this woman' family. Also for the recovery of the passenger. Seat belts people; they save lives!
