Yes it is way past time to get out of district. My kids, grown now had to go into Jacksonville instead of BM and that was dumb. School got worse and worse in Jacksonville as my sons grew up. There was a big problem when my youngest son was a senior because so many kids had left and went private as did my first grandchild. Now 10 years+ later the same thing will happen with my 2 new grandkids or they will go to another school district. Let the kids ggo where they live and parents will be more involved. This has not and will not work. It is also racisit. What is it someone gonna lose their free ride by not voting to stop this terriable waste of money. Let LR take care of their own scools and set Jacksonville free. I hate what this has done to my town.

I agree with this being ridiculous. The schools tried busing students to even out the numbers where I lived growing up. They learned their lesson in the 80's and 90's that it doesn't work, just causes more problems and mass protests and people pulling kids out for private school.

This is getting ridiculous. Jacksonville is a largely BLACK town. OF COURSE the schools will have an unbalanced number of black vs white students. Who cares?? This de-segregation thing is a load of crap and needs to be done away with. No segregation is happening. We need to stop bussing kids here and there to "even out" the schools. Let kids go to their neighborhood schools and be done with it.
