I'm not defending any group of people, and I don't know the guy in this news story. Also, a pedophile can be a sex offender, but a sex offender is not necessarily a pedophile. There is a distinction - not that it has anything to do with what I was saying. My point is more along the lines of the misconception that releasing a sex offender from prison indicates the end of a sentence. With current registration laws, the punishment does not end when the offender is released. I was also pointing out that two wrongs don't make a right. Going to jail for assault or murder does not level the scales of justice. Giving a society, or law enforcement or a judge the legal right to mutilate the genitals of a convict does not undo whatever has been done, and does not necessarily prevent any further incident from occurring.

arkansasYankee Iam not so young myself.I just hope things get better in this world. It's sad when someone post that a sex offender has the right to move freely and safely in this world and to form a healthy relationship. Why should they when they take that right away from a child.Look at the child in Bentonville that was murdered last week it was at the hands of a child molester. Its sad too any children are missing or dying.

She did seem to defend them now that I've read her post again, and not as tired as I was last night. Sad. Give it another 50 years or so, and we'll all have chips. Well, some of you; I'll be gone by then thank the Lord! Big Brother gets Bigger every day! Too Big for his britches if you ask me; wish I could be around to see him fall on his a** when the people take back their country from the scumbags in DC and the state capitols!

BUTCH.....PROBLEM SOLVED. They could probably let some others out that have committed much less crime than related to sex, freeing up beds for worse offenders.

I say we chip them. Then if they fall off the grid they can be located quick. We chip our pets. Why not these perverts. Fix it to closely track them and their activities. Being an ex-con I really don't like the idea. We do have to do something to protect the children though. It could also be a tool in helping keep up with our elderly mentally impaired.

Opinionated. I would agree to every one of these criminals and a lot of others wear an ankle bracelet...In fact, that seems like a good idea for letting a lot of them out of prison. HOWEVER, in my case, the burden is on the family, not him. He has to be taken care of.

IF my family member were a threat to children, I would want him locked up..not living in the neighborhood. He can't get a job. He can't live in a decent neighborhood. So that means a family member has to live where he can live and support him. IT ALSO MEANS that most, if not all of them, are roaming the streets with nothing to do. THEY CAN'T STAY IN A HOMELESS SHELTER. I have asked the police "what are they supposed to do?" Of course, they don't know..not their problem. I would still like to ask the people responsible for designing the law AND THE JUDGE THAT PUTS THEM OUT IN THE PUBLIC...WHAT THEY WERE THINKING.

I daresay he is. .. I'm not saying my parrot is a person. (or your pets either for that matter.) I am saying that people will believe what they want to, and an argument for or against anything can be found if you work at it.
