Sheriff: Sex offender shows up drunk to sheriff’s office, arrested for public intoxication

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR – A Level 3 Registered Sex Offender who was at the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office updating his registration information was arrested for public intoxication Wednesday.
According to the sheriff’s office, 36-year-old Matthias Jones was speaking with a deputy when she smelled alcohol on him. Using a breath test, Jones registered a 0.14% blood alcohol content.
Jones was taken to the jail on a charge of public intoxication.
