SHERWOOD, AR –- The days of just walking into Mark's pharmacy are over, at least for the time being. Now, an employee must an employee must let you in.
You can thank a robber for the change!
"They were real fearful. They envisioned what could happen and they ran and hid but he was in and out pretty quickly," said Mark Speer, a pharmacist.
The employees said they say the saw the man pass the window. When he got behind a wall, his image changed. That's when he stormed in with his face covered by a burlap bag.
"He kept looking over his shoulder seeing if anyone was coming through the door," said Speer.
Pharmacist Mark Speer said he argued with the crook not over money, but medicine! It's medicine Speer does not have in stock. The robber demanded pills and told the employees he'd kill them if they didn't hand it over.
"He put his hand under his jacket as if he did have a gun. I don't know if he did or not," said Speer.
Eventually the bad guy ran out with nothing, but he stole their sense of security. That's something Speer hopes to get back really soon.
"We will install security. We have security system but we don't have cameras. It's worth the investment. It's something I should have done," said Speer.
The employees don't have a description of the suspect. If you have any information, call the Sherwood Police Department.
